After I made my valentine card on Monday I decided that I was not going to make any other cards this week. I always squeeze them in and I just had too much to get done this week...the "have to dos" far out numbered the "want to dos". Like an alcoholic dumping all their bottles of wine, I put my enormous collection of craft supplies back into the coat closet. My husband and teenage sons gaped in awe at the long forgotten dining room table. Everyone had forgotten what it looked like. A little shakey and disoriented, I felt like I was headed in the right direction. Well, that was Monday night. My resolve weakened a little late that night when I just peeked at this week's CC509...oooooooh, soooooo pretty. Somehow my containers of copics snuck out of the coat closet. Well, not to drag this on, it was like the scene from Disney's Sorcerer's Apprentice when the mops, pails of water, pots and pans all come to life and take over the room. Cardstock, glue, markers, die cuts....everything ended up right back on the table. Oh well, dining room tables are highly over rated. Back to the card. It is colored with copics. The little sprigs of flowers are punches. My sister and sister in law both have January birthdays. I thought this would also work for the F4A432 since the colors, pine leaf punches and lace are all things I used on my holiday cards. TFL, Francie

LOL at your write-up. I am so grateful to now have the attic, I remember the days of trying to clear the table - and it was in our living area, too. I'm glad that you did pull everything out, this is just fabulous. As always, your colouring is amazing, and your little punched posies are sweet. I still have the Tickle card I got from you sitting on a speaker beside my desktop monitor.

Your card is positively GORGEOUS and your write up brought a huge smile to my face and that feeling of "been there done that". It helps with empty nest syndrome when you get to reclaim a bedroom later on...and the dining room once again becomes the empty room no one uses anyway for most of the year! ;). Stamp on! There is hope!!

ROTFLOL! That is how I feel every night when I clean off the table. I think I am going to leave it clear for one night to eat at the table but alas the moment I walk in the door it somehow all fall out of the boxes to the top of the table and we end up eating in the living room. This is so super cute and I am very glad to see that you found a way to sneek this one in for us to see because your coloring is just beautiful! TFS

BEAUTIFUL, Francie! Your coloring of the swan image is exquisite, but it is all those little details...like the tiny, tiny perfect bows that cause me to swoon. : ) Wonderful combination of DPs and little bitty flower die cuts that set this beauty apart.(Enjoy reading your personal tribulations.)

Francie, I shared your writeup with my husband, and he is reassured to know I'm not the only one! This card is just beautiful. You'll have to make a duplicate so that neither your sister or SIL will get jealous! Over the top beautiful!

Francie, this is gorgeous! Your coloring and design are absolutely beautiful! Glad you did that card today! The way I see it, the kitchen/dining room table is where life happens! Meals together, homework with kids, projects. I mean, really, how much goes on in a living room. It's the table that brings life to a home!

First - what a beautiful card. That swan is gorgeous - and oh my word - how do you do those fabulous bows? This whole card is wonderous. I had a good giggle over your withdrawal symptons', such a hoot. Even with a dedicated area I still end up from time to time in the dining room, and even in the living room with a big atlas on my lap decorating a card! It is a good addiction. tfs

Forget about a clean dining room table when you can bring out all the crafting goodies and make a beautiful card such as this. The swan is gorgeous and so is the bottom of the flap with the heart, etc. Plus, I always love polka dots.

Do you really think dining room tables were made to eat on? I think everyone on this site knows they were made for craft tables. Love your card. You have colored the swan beautifully. I love the dots and those sweet little bows.

Oh - there I was thinking that I was the only one that used the dining room table for craft. Sign of relief - I don't feel guilty now and I mean - there is always a little corner on the table if you really want to eat there!! This is an elegant card with beautifully coloured image.
