Tuesday, we Teapotters made cards for Tara's (Styxrocksme) Mom. She doesn't receive much mail and as Tara had done for her G'ma, she wanted to send cards to her Mom from famous people. My Umbrella Man (one of my all-time favorite stamps!) represents Charlie Chaplin in the movie Between Showers, which I think was made in 1914, along with a slew of others. I hope my card brings a smile to her Mom.
I used Tuesday's CC507 colors and Wednesday's SC517 sketch.
First I stamped my JustRite musical score (played during his non-speaking, silent movies) in cherry cobbler. Then I stamped Umbrella Man on my card with SU basic brown (sub.) Over it, in SU Kraft white, I stamped my MFT snow bkgrd stamp. Used my finger to smudge some kraft white to form snow pile at bottom. Rubbed wet glitter onto the snow. Distressed edges of SU green panel with SU artichoke (sub). Added PTI leaf arch to panel. Adhered panel to card. Added layered Lawn Fawn snowflakes to card. Colored arch and center snowflake with Wink of Stella red and added H.A. clear glitter glue over top. (Should have done that b4 applying but forgot.) In SU artichoke, stamped PTI Happy Holidays inside. Inked edges of acrylic block with SU cherry cobbler and stamped "frame" around sentiment. Added a double snowflake, double-glittered like the one on the front.
Thanks for looking!

Charlie Chaplin is perfect! I still haven't been able to come up with a famous guest. I love everything you have incorporated into this card Gabby......the music background, the beautiful snowflake and the ink distressing and glitter edging. A real winner!

This is GREAT..that TH guy sure does depict Charlie Chaplin! And the music in the bg is so clever for the silent movie era. Your snowflakes make this Christmasy festive. Tara's mom will love her visit from "The Tramp"...

Goodness - yet another movie I don't know with a character I do. My dad used to show us Charlie Chaplin and Laurel & Hardy shorts on his old 8mm projector! Your TH umbrella man makes a fantastic Chaplin. And he would be an interesting guest...I read this fascinating (fiction) book based on him earlier this year: Charlie Chaplin's Last Dance.

What a wonderful card! I love the "umbrella man" stamp! It's always been a favorite of mine, but I've never seen it used like this, and I love it! Thanks so much for sharing!
