This is my sample for CC507. I am your hostess this week and I chose cherry cobbler, early espresso, and garden green. Dessert is to use a tree on your card.
When I chose the colors this week, I knew I wanted to use the Stampin-Up "under the tree" dsp. So many pretty patterns and I love the kraft paper.
The background dsp is layered with SU kraft paper. Added a strip of early espresso across the middle cut with an MFT die.
The next layer is garden green and I used the new SU embossing folder "on point". My Christmas tree is from the Just-Rite Stampers set "O Christmas Tree". Stamped in cherry cobbler on Kraft paper. The green stamped words are embossed, fussy cut and layered for some interest. The tree is die cut with the matching Spellbinders nested pennants and lacey pennants dies.
To complete my card I scattered some sequins on the card. Hope you can play along with us this week. You may be our next fave of the week and have your card featured on our highly viewed and followed Pinterest board. See board here.

What a gorgeous tree, Mary, with some beautiful holiday hymns so creatively scripted into it. So many little details and textures to catch the eye. Your sequins add a dainty little touch of bling. Thanks for a great combo

Mary, my eye is just dancing around this card. And it always comes back to the tree. I love the lacey trim around the tree and the sprinkling of sequins. Great use of the dsp to coordinate the tree theme throughout, and I love the words serving as a design element. Fun card, for a very inspirational challenge!

What a lovely tree, Mary! These colors are really nice with the kraft paper too. The scattering of sequins puts a nice touch of glitz on the card. Thanks for the great colors.
