Congratulations to Nancy Williams aka nwilliams6 for being the featured artist today for FS408. I admire Nancy's work and had a very hard time deciding on one card. I finally decided to case her Watercolor Upsy Daisy card found here
I kept Nancy's song and watercolor theme but changed the song to Silent Night and used the evergreen trees from my Kittie Kits rather than flowers. I stamped the music with black Versafine and embossed with clear embossing powder to set the ink. I stamped the trees across the bottom of the page and then lightly touched the trees with a damp brush in a stipple like motion to soften the ink and let it run slightly. I wanted to keep my card clean and simple so decided to add interest and dimension by layering the project on green and red and popping both layers up with mounting tape. I couldn't resist adding red ribbon and a small multi loop bow. To me this is as traditional as it gets. And look mom....no dies!!!!! LOL!
Nancy, thank you for sharing your gorgeous with us here on SCS and for being such a supportive member of our community.

Wow, Kittie! This card speaks volumes - it has a peaceful feel and reflects the words to the song. The ribbon and bow add so much to it too - like a big present which is what the gift of Christ is all about. Love how you softened the trees too. Amazing case of my little water color experiment card. Thanks sweet friend! Hugz
