I had a very hard time getting a decent picture of this card, because of the black! IRL it's so much prettier! I diecut the ornament from the black panel, removed the piece, then embossed just the ornament center, using the Papertrey diamond impression plate. Cut the ornament again from autumn rose and placed the berries on the black. The ribbon was cut from old olive, placed on the panel, then the piece was attached to an autumn rose layer. The ornament was put back together and popped up with foam tape, to let a bit of the autumn rose base show through. The sentiment was stamped with versamark and embossed with vanilla. I sure wish you could see how nice the card turned out. I'm thinking of trying another with some PTI onyx shimmer paper I have.

Beautiful work on this card! A lot of planning went into it and it is gorgeous; I would love to see it in real life. The berries and touches of green really come to life and draw the eye to your ornament. Happy Thanksgiving.
Oh wow! This is spectacular! The ornament is wonderful with the embossing! I am going to remember that little trick! I think the black and pink is fabulous!!

Dramatic and daring, Sue. A predominantly black card has to take a lot of thought...more than a white one IMO. Black absorbs all the light. You have created a stunning Christmas card that will be a standout in anyone's collection this season.

Very dramatic black on black! Black is difficult to photograph because cameras focus on white. I had an all black cat and getting a good photo of her was a real challenge. You did a beautiful job of capturing this.
