I was surfing Ebay yesterday for SU retired outdoor, garden type sets and saw Farm Fun for sale. It was going for some rediculous price so I didn't bid on it but printed a picture of the set and thought I would try sketching out the barn myself. I am not brave enough to try to sketch the animals as it seems all I can accomplish is things with straight lines. I invisioned the little chicks from Spring Gifts out in the forefront of the barn.
I sketched the barn, fence and trees with an artist pen. I stamped the chicks and masked them to keep them clean while I sponged creamy caramel and certainly celery in for the ground areas. I used Watercolor Minis fern for the leaves and grassy areas. I used IBB for the dirt area. I sponged in Bashful Blue with my cloud template after everything was finished.
I would love encourage others to try and sketch little things into a scene like a fence or tree as it is much easier than it looks. You will never know what you can accomplish unless you try. I have found so much joy in pushing the envelope out of my comfort zone and seeing what I can come up with next. Give it a try. Stick something of your own around a stamped image and see what you can come up with...a little table under your pot of flowers image... or a window in the background. You may become more inspired than you ever could have thought.

Another beautiful card .. I did try and sketch something into a few of my drawings because you inspired me but I never liked them. I just can't draw. Especially not like you can.

I have to admit that I have been so inspired by your cards. I check your gallery almost everyday to see what you have come up with. I have been really impressed with what that little fern stamp can do to a hand drawn tree! Thanks so much for sharing you beautiful cards.
