This is for Tiffany's fun Mixed media challenge - Fine Feathered Friends
I have a very large pizza box (new) that I store all my reject gelli prints in along with off cuts of mixed media cards. Origionally this was orange, yellow and red, somehow I managed to turn that into mud??? All the black and grey that you now see was done by pulling a second print from a black and white gelli print, I also cleaned my brayer on it, got rid of excess black paint on bubble wrap and badded an inky/painty baby wipe on it.
The feathers were stamped onto mixed media off cuts then fussy cut. One of the feathers had a bit much pink on it so I scrubbed some black soot distress ink on then used a crackle stamp over the feathers and circle. The light coloured feathers were stamped on a piece of dp that I gessoed...it looked terrible and lived in the reject pizza box until today.
Thank you for looking ladies.

Susie, I don't like grunge, but,,,,,,,,,,,,,,this is GREAT! I love that good bright color behind the spider web! Those feathers are the tops! Totally well done! tfs

This is one or the best examples of mixed media! I love how you redo your rejects and turn them into these masterpieces! The texture and hint of color behind the black is just fantastic! I DO love grunge and this one is right there at the top!

Awesome, Susie! The whole composition is wonderful. It takes courage to use what we perceive as a reject, but, trust me, you did good (she smiles). Love it!
