This week Cathy asked us to Make it with Metal for the WTUI Challenge. I firstly die cut my aluminium foil using a square die, then embossed with the quatrefoil EF. I then painted over this with pistachio and navy paint, using lots of water, and patiently (!!!) waited until this dried. Die cut banners, added sentiment, flower embellishments and rhinestones.
The mysteries of card making - this card started out with 3 tiny rhinestones above the sentiment - after taking the photo I see there is only 1 - hmmm - it is already 35 degrees celsius outside (heading for 39!) so I think I will leave this card as is LOL!!

WOW Sue that bg is AMAZING!!! Thanks for describing how you did it...that paint really gives the foil such a beautiful look. The embossed design paired with the paint almost make it look like marble. And your metal embellishment with the flower is so cool..really unique!

This truly is beautiful. I am laughing at myself. You obviously know what you are doing when it comes to painting foil, not me! I was winging it, but it was all fun in any event. I will keep your way in mind the next time I attempt this. Thank you for sharing.
