I wasn't going to participate today since it is a busy day for me, but I found a few minutes since my curiosity about this technique got the best of me.
It was an adventure since I have very FEW Copic refills and they really don't go well together, but I forged ahead. Looked "blah" so I decide to try Memento reinkers. This was NOT successful at all...they sat there like globs. I pushed them around with a toothpick, then gave a dowsing of alcohol spray...better, but not great. Finally used a used dryer sheet and hand sanitizer and dabbed the whole mess....that is the result you see now. Not the best, but not the worst. : )

We are our own worst critics Sallie..I think this is lovely and the bg is great for a holiday card. The white trees and curvy snow give this a fresh wintery feel (ask me how I now..we're getting our first BIG snow of the season today).

Even though yo don't feel good about the background, it is a perfect bg for the white snow and trees! It almost looks like a cave on the right side. I love the crimped paper, denoting ridges of snow. I love it!

You have created a beautiful bg, Sallie, especially for the lovely white die cut trees and crimped c/s!! I have no refills, nor sanitiser, so I am just enjoying looking at the amazing results of this technique in the gallery!!

Sallie, I had to laugh at your description! Your ideas at fix-it up are incredibly brilliant and the result is beautiful, much better than you think! I love that mottled look you achieved. Who but you would have thought of hand sanitizer! Makes me want to look under the kitchen sink and see what happens if...
Gorgeous card in spite of your obvious disappointment!
