For today's CAS challenge, I used a Ranger distress pad to swipe my cardstock. I swiped it three times, apply uneven pressure each time to get a textured look. I colored and stamped my image then extended the branch and greens by re-coloring and stamping that part again. To soften the area around the top of the cardinal, I barely dampened my finger and gently rubbed to blend the ink a bit. Direct pad to paper, inked the edges with the Ranger distress pad, then again with the SU cherry cobbler (same red as on the cardinal.) Double matted and mounted on card base.
It is also for Sparkle's Weekly Christmas Card Challenge 50 . They offer a theme each week but you can submit any Christmas themed card. My faith-based Verve message will be stamped inside.
Thanks for looking!
