So many beautiful pens! I need a masculine birthday card and was inspired by this gorgeous pen: http://www.pinterest.com/pin/387591111655335438/. The papers I chose really tried my patience: I had to trim every edge of every cut piece because they left fibers and it was particularly difficult on the word birthday. I like the design and might make another, but not using these papers. Dies: SS/Diamond Parade - PTI/One Liners (Happy) - TL/ sentiments 2014 (Birthday) and SB/Card Creator Rectangles.

Well it was certainly worth it, Priscilla! Those papers are wonderful and your die cuts are fabulous. I have papers that do that, too. Usually I just run an emery board along the edges to get rid of them

Good for you for sticking with it to the bitter end. Sometimes I quit on papers that try my patience. The results you got with the inspiration piece you chose are so worth it. To think I almost chose this pen as well.......thank goodness I didn't. Couldn't have competed with your card. Well done.

This is a great masculine card, Priscilla. Your design paper is just gorgeous, although difficult to work with. Glad you made it work. I love the layout of your card too. Very striking.
