Scrapcat gave us a wonderful challenge for the MIX weekly card. Ky asked us to check out France Papillon's work. It was very inspiring! I watched a few of her Youtube videos, they are so well done! Her most recent. "Top Secret" is the one I used for my inspiration for this card.
For the most part, I did sponging of my inks. I did try the gesso and water to make some splatters, but it really doesn't show up very well. I also added a little bit of stencil and that little bit of crocheted yarn. I don't even remember what it is called. The sentiment says,
"You can't skip and by unhappy at the same time."

This is so awesome and interesting! So much to take in. Love the crossword background - I've never seen that before. The metal gears are super and the butterfly is beautiful.

Wow what a fabulous mixed media creation. I bet it looks even more amazing in real life. The sentiment made me laugh. It is so wonderful to see you my sweet Miss Kathleen Lammie from Alabama.

SO many cool aspects of this card! I LOVE the sentiment and especially like how it appears one of the gears is holding it in place and another, helping to frame it. I am a huge scrabble fan/player. I play on my Kindle and your background grid reminded me of the board on my Kindle game. Such a cool metal butterfly and your background stamp adds so much interest to this wonderfully crafted piece!
