I didn't think this challenge would be difficult b/c I had three jars of embossing paste. But a few days ago when I opened them up, I discovered they were ALL DRIED UP! So, today, I tried my hand at two different recipes and came up with this...
Which started to crack so I quickly snapped a pix...and then the paste all fell off! Honestly, my paste was like Oobleck...fail.
So then, I remade the panel...not pictured here...by stenciling and embossing the butterfly in white embossing powder. Similar effect...none of those dishes in the sink! lol. Next time, I will buy a new jar. In the mean time...helpful tips on making it will be welcomed!!

Love the look of the background behind the pretty butterfly...how annoying to have it fall off like that. I used the recipe that was included in the challenge and let it dry flat overnight before working with it again.

I am so sorry your butterfly fell off, because the card shown is so beautiful! I'm sure the adaptation with white embossing powder is lovely, too. No Worries! However, if you ever do want to try your hand at making homemade embossing powder again, you could try this recipe courtesy of Susie Australia:
Here is the recipe Susie has used for embossing paste. She used kids washable school glue and baby powder. Consistency of toothpaste. You can use white or coloured paint. She has hers in a sealed container made over one month ago.
RECIPE for texture paste. 1 part white acrylic paint, 1 part talcum powder, 1/2 part liquid glue.
Anyway, thanks for playing in my challenge! Love this!
