Okay, this is for Susie's background challenge and I might have accidentally cheated. I took a page from a copy of Jane Eyre that was so old/beat up that the library wouldn't sell it in their used book sale and covered it with gesso, did some direct to paper inking with the soft sky, smudged and blended gelatos all over it with my fingers, and sponged the edges with the blue bayou. Then I diecut the frame and stamped the image and added the twine. Only AFTER the whole card was completed did occur to me that even though this is a page from an actual book (a darn good one at that) and not at all something I would buy at a craft store that it might still be considered dp. #oops But I was really with you in the spirit of it and going all out to make a cool layered background. And I actually really like how it turned out. Thanks for the challenge, Susie!

This is perfect for the challenge. I love that you used a page from a book and gessoed it. The image is perfect for your paper. Everything about this is great. Thanks so much for joining in my HYCCT challenge.
