My girls have been working on a saints project at school. Friday the sixth grade is putting on a mass and they have to dress up as their saint. These cards are for all the hard work they have put into the project. They had to come up with costumes, write a speech about the life of their saint and present it in class from memory.
I was hoping today's sketch would have a grouping of three. Yeah! SC513 has 5!! Paige is St. Elizabeth of Hungary also known as Saint Elizabeth of the three crowns. She is known for the miracle of the roses as well as her charity to the poor, represented by a food basket. Gwen is St. Julie Billiart, a French saint who founded the Institute of the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur.
The crowns and fleur-de-lis were cut with the Home Decor cartridge in various sizes from 2 1/2" to 1" & the roses were cut at 1" real dial size with the Walk in My Garden cartridge.

Lovely cards to commemorate the girls' saints. What a terrific learning experience too. Your cards are beautifully done and represent what are considered symbols of the chosen saint.

Thank you for the little lesson on those two saints. I have to admit that I hadn't been aware of either one of them. I'm sure your daughters will appreciate your thoughtfulness in making these cards for them.
