Congratulations to Theresa aka mistreez on being chosen our Queen for this week. What a lovely gallery with much variety you have. I LOVE this card and chose it for inspiration.
Awesome card and since I already have a row of hearts in my gallery for another queen I went with snowflakes. I found that snowflakes are definitely "flakey" when I tried to emboss them. I think I need some removable glue as they tried to fly away - as in real life.
The snowflakes and stars were die cut and heat embossed and then glued onto the dotted dp for a little more formal look. Sentiment is also gold embossed. It's a little more formal than I usually make, but I'm ok with that. I appreciate your comments.

Your gold embossed snowflakes look really cool but I can appreciate that they would be flying around as you tried to heat them..lol...They sure make for a pretty holiday card though ;)

HA! Fine minds and all that - I almost chose that card to CASE for the QFTD challenge, as well... I love all things heart-y, so that was my impetus. Fun idea to change them to snowflakes, though, and well done!

Thank you for playing along with my gallery this week. Hats off to you for the tricky task you set yourself to heat emboss the die cuts. Been there, done that, LOL. Not something you'd use as a "go to' technique, BUT if the muse requires it, then it must be done. Right!? Your card looks fabulous thanks to the extra effort you went to.

Wonderful holiday card, Carol! Like the red polka dot paper on black. Embossing the die cut stars, snowflakes and the sentiment was a lot of work but really makes your card "extra" special.
