The ink smoosh technique was fun but I got a little muddiness in my colors. But I think they still look good, it just changed what the colors were. Would you believe the browns in the BG panel ar Soft Suede and Crumb Cake? So the color that shows up to me is more like sahara sand so that is what I used as the framing panel. I edged that with a die and stamped the smooshed panel with the frame from Notably Ornate. I also stamped the bird onto glossy CS and popped her up on the frame. Then stamped the sentiment. This is for one of the HYCCT challenges.

What a lovely vintage-look card with a nostalgic feel to it. The colours don't look muddy to me, just soft! And the bird is wonderful. Your border die-cut is very pretty and perfect with the stamped frame.

Love the subtle colouring of your background! It goes very well with your stamps. That bird popped up like that gives a lot of movement to your card. Lovely sentiment too. TFS

I think the colors look fabulous! It just adds to that shabby chic, vintage feel of your creation! So beautifully coordinated with that die cut border! Thanks so much for joining me in all the fun with my HYCCT challenge! :-)
