n 2012, Papertrey Ink introduced an adorable stamp set called, “Spring Hills”. I loved the cards their design team blogged, so I immediately ordered the set, and put it away…because I figured they would come out with the other seasons too. Well they did, and each time I purchased the set so by the end of the year I had the Summer Hills, Autumn Hills, and Winter Hills. The block stamp included with each set has very small details, and I never used them, because I lacked the confidence to try to colour them. Well this week I went for it. I ended up stamping each image 4 times, and was happy with all 16 coloured panels. Now what….
As I like to switch things up so I used different sentiments for each card, and changed the designed background from horizontals to verticals, from stamped backgrounds to paper layering. In the end I had 16 cards, and made up 2 gift sets. I also used white pigment ink (that I never use), created my own backgrounds, did a little stencilling, added some encaustic leaves left over from a previous project, added some diecut snowflakes from Paper Smooches, and really dug into my coloured cardstock stash. The only thing I used that was not over a year old would have been my ink and tape. All in all had a blast.
