Because of the puna lava flow that has been ongoing on the big island of Hawaii, I wanted to make a card for my dear friends that live there.... I brayered the sky, the water and the beach with rock cliff... I then sponged in the gumball green at the top of the rock cliff and some on the rock face... I then drew in some lava rocks on the beach and added white gel pen on the water and drew in the birds... after stamping the turtle, I fussy cut it and added it to beach corner....
thanks for taking a peek...Hope you like it...

I love the Big Island, too, and have always been fascinated by the volcano and the hot, oozing lava. This card is a perfect rendition of the area, love the honu, too! Makes me want to hop on a plane!

Ah, so sweet to support your Hawaiin friends. I hope they aren't too impacted by the lava flow. You really captured the look and feel of the islands with this. Love that little turtle.

Whoa..this is not your typical style but isn't that what a challenge is for? Your artisitc talent shows through with that fabulous bit of green at the top and the cutting of the rock/beach edge, and that wonderful turtle in the corner. WOW..a great card for your Hawaiian friends.

Aloha and mahalo for your great rendition of the black sand beaches here. . . I immediately thought of Puna'lu'u Black Sand beach when I saw this. Just down the road from us. Mahalo for thinking of your friends in the Puna area, I'm sure they will appreciate your thoughts and prayers! Mahalo nui!
