Many people have things that bind them together during treatment, their family, the breast cancer community, volunteers, their friendsÂ… the things that bind people are the things that give them strength and make them a fighter and give them the will to survive.
*Bind the spine of your card in honour of the strength such bindings give to breast cancer patients:
*Mimic a book spine with tape, Bind the spine with thread, or go all out and make a multilayered card with a threaded and wrapped spineÂ… make is strong, make it last, make a statement!"
One of the wonderful things about SCS challenges is they often push us to be more creative and this is what happened here.
Before I took to stamping totally I was addicted to "Parchment Craft" and we often attached the vellum or parchment to backing card by sewing it at the fold so this started me thinking and this card is the end result.
I embossed some vellum with an embossing folder and punched threading holes with a Martha Stewart border punch. I then folded some DP in half and repeated the punching I then also punched the same holes into a piece of insert paper, lined all the punched holes up and threaded the ribbon through I attached the ribbon at each end of the card with a tiny piece of super tacky double sided tape and then trimmed the card to the embossed pattern on the vellum.
Loved doing this and it has made a very nice feminine card. There is a greeting inside and I did have to make the envelope as the card is not a regular size.
Thanks for looking
Cheers

Wow, Mary, this really turned out LOVELY beyond all words - what an ethereal look the embossed vellum gives, and it perfectly frames your beautiful flowers!! Love the threading of your ribbon on the spine - just gorgeous!!
