This is for the tissue HYCCT challenge. I remembered a ruffling technique I learned in eighth grade and used it here. First step: stamp the Corner Garden image on tissue, then stamp it off directly on the card base. Second step: color the image on the card base. Third step: layer the tissue on top of the colored image. Stamp the sentiment. Fourth step: stamp the poppy on scrap card stock, color and fussy cut it. Adhere it over the largest flower in the Corner Garden image. Fifth step: add the strips of cardstock for a border. Sixth step: cut long strips of leftover tissue, about 1/2 to 5/8 inch thick. Apply liquid glue to a small area of the card, lay the strip into the glue, and push it together to form ruffles. Continue to cover the area you want. (Hint: apply the glue generously, but do it in small sections so it stays really wet. The tissue absorbs the glue and the end result is a nice, firm ruffle when the glue dries.) Final step: use a marker to lightly color the bumps of the ruffle.

What a pretty card! I bet the tissue adds a lot of lovely texture. It would be nice to see it close up. The recipient will know she has a treasure when she gets this!
