I’m gearing up for Christmas and decided to make another Christmas card using pink for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. I lost my dear mom to breast cancer, so it’s a cause close to my heart. I used the Poinsettia Ornament and stamped three images, fussy cut the flowers, and colored them (in pink, of course). Then I wanted a background and decided to use a masking technique make a completely filled background – can you tell? It was fun to do. I die-cut two circles and used both of them and the negative of one and stamped one circle, then I placed the negative next to the first stamped image and tucked the circle(s) to cover/mask off the one (or two) there. It’s actually easy and fun and made a subtle background for my poinsettias. And then my “pot” is actually a die-cut circle with the bottom "snipped" off and sponged to give it dimension. I also added dimension to the flowers and popped the top one over the two side ones and popped a few leaves. It is more interesting IRL, I think, especially since I used a Spica pen for sparkle. Just added a ribbon and a “thank you” sentiment, thinking I would use this as a thank-you card. Thanks for taking a closer look, and I hope you like it!

Oh dear - this is just so lovely. I knew who had produced this card when I first saw it. The flowers are coloured so beautifully and the added heart sentiment just finishes off this wonderful so nicely. Just perfect.

WOW! Pink poinsettia's are my favorite and the coloring of this beautiful image ROCKS! I REALLY love your color choice and the framing of this image is so perfectly done. The background technique is amazing.. I didn't really understand it, but that is not necessary to appreciate the outcome! I love the clever way you made the vase and your sponging does indeed create the dimension you were looking for. Your sweet bow and heart shaped sentiment holder complete a card that is destined to be favored by many!
