I used a couple of fun techniques on this card today. To make my own background paper, I smooshed my distress ink pads and stains onto my craft paper and then laid my paper over it, moving it around until I had it covered pretty well. The feathers were made using paper made with watercolors while the hexagons were made with ink pads and stains instead of sprays... same method though. I also did a little bit of inlaid die-cutting. The feathers are teal and blue for thyroid cancer (should have pink too but she is not a pink kind of gal) which is what my friend was diagnosed with a few years ago (she's good now!).

GORGEOUS! Love the honeycomb die -- perfect way to set off your colorful "smooshed" design!! Those feathers are a beautiful accent too! Thanks so much for joining in on all the fun of my challenge! ;-)
