This is for HYCCT1421, which is "Get Inked" - use ink sprays, and today's color challenge: Real Red, Coastal Cabana and Crumb Cake. I had one DT responsibility yet to do so I wanted to work with these images and make a collage type card. I pictured it being more vintage but somehow the Coastal Cabana didn't look as vintage as I had thought. However... these are great Christmas colors and I enjoyed playing!
I used the ODBD Midnight Clear Background and inked first in Baked Brown Sugar, then dabbed off the brown on the snowflake edges with a paper towel and inked with Coastal Cabana. I wasn't going for perfection here, and I didn't achieve it! LOL! I knew I wanted to add a little glitter to the edges though so I just didn't worry about it. I added some T Holtz white paint and some Recollections clear glass glitter all around the snowflakes (inspired by my talented DD sister, Sandee). I stamped my clock and matted it with Baked Brown Sugar cs which I sponged with CC. I cut three of the ODBD Peaceful Poinsettias from vanilla cs and then spritzed them with Tattered Angels Candy Apple Red glimmer mist. I love how the gold glitter seemed to settle in to the embossed parts of the poinsettia! After arranging everything, I added Gala Glitz (Art Glitter) to the centers. LOVE this stuff! It's a combination of coppery beads and glass glitter. All the greenery and flourishes are from ODBD Fancy Foliage die set.
Thanks so much for looking!

What a labor of love, such gorgeous details and one of my favorite color combinations. Hard to believe those poinsettias started out vanilla. Thank you for sharing the details.

WOW! The vivid poinsettias look amazing against the snowy background! I'm with Pammyjo - it's hard to believe they started out as vanilla. You did a fantastic job with them and you've created an absolutely stunning holiday card!
Thanks so much for joining in my HYCCT challenge!

This is really lovely and it does have a vintage feel or maybe a cross between vintage and shabby chic if you're taking into account the blue. I love the bg and those poinsettias are amazing...the centers with that gala glitz stuff are so pretty! Your cards are always beautiful..a feast for the eyes.
Gorgeous card and yes those are perfect Christmas colors. You really outdid yourself with this jewel. Kept going back to it to look at it again. Love it!!!
