Barbara gave us the challenge to use embossing paste. I have never done this technique, but had bought embossing paste about 3 weeks ago. The stencil I used seemed like it would work as a BG for a Halloween image. Also, the BG is not lavender CS. The entire cs is sprayed with lavender prima color and then I sponged off the dried embossing paste. I love this technique and now I need to buy some more stencils :-)
Thanks so much for taking a closer look :-)

Oh, I hear 'ya about needing more stencils. A few weeks ago, I had none, and now--well, let's just say I've lost count! I love what you've done with this card--the background behind the bird is astonishing--the colors are beautiful and scary all at the same time. Perfect for Halloween! Thanks for playing in my challenge!

Gorgeous colors on your raven panel, Barb. Your sprayed and paste embossed bg turned out spectacularly. Spraying probably gave more interest than just starting with a piece of lavender CS. Pretty MS punched band to finish it.

Barb, you did a fantastic job on your background! Not only is your embossing paste so beautifully done but I love your image on this! That black border is the perfect touch!
