To create the binding I scored the A2 card at 4 1/4" and then scored again 1/2" on either side of the center score line so that I could stitch the navy card stock to the main card but the recipient would not have any difficulty in opening the card. I kept the card very simple so that the stitching stands out. The sails and hull are paper pieced and attached with dimensionals.

Love the look of your stitching against the blue and the crisp, clean panels behind your Kraft bg and pieced ship....all put together makes for a wonderful masculine card!
