I am playing along with Kim's fun HYCCT1414 challenge to create a STEP card.
My first thought upon seeing Kim's challenge was "I don't feel like it" BUT really a step card is super EASY using the tutorials here at SCS. I am surprised every time I create a step card, how fun and easy it really is. I hope that if you feel like I did, you will ignore the feeling and go ahead and dive right in. Surprise yourself!!!
I used mixed media paper, followed along with Beate's easy tutorial cutting and scoring then stopped and did not fold. At this point I dabbed distress inks on craft mat and spritzed with water then swished the scored cardstock through the ink to create my own dyed paper. After the paper dried I folded according to the tutorial. I cut up the fun beach border that my sweet friend Brenda had sent me added the die cut DREAM and I was done!

I can see why you thought this was fun and easy, Angie, but not me. I cut mine first time, no problem. The hard part was cutting and laying down the top layers! Too much thinking in my opinion. I will need to try your way, if there's a next time in my future..... Love your bg and how it turned out! Great looking beach scene~
