Bridget's My Hero challenge asked us to make a card inspired someone who is a hero to us. I've been thinking about this for a few days. I have many heroes, but after getting some very sad news, I chose my husbands aunt and my dear friend. Paula is an amazing lady who is very active at 88 years old. She writes poetry, walks, swims and goes to yoga, outdoing the rest of us in class. She's kind and gentle, considerate and selfless, and truly makes the world a better place. She raised ten children... her oldest son died from complications due to Agent Orange, and just last night she lost a daughter to HER2 cancer. Paula's heart is broken, but I know she will do her best to remain strong for the rest of her family.

Oh, Hilda, I'm so sorry about the loss of your friend and husband's aunt.
She sounds like a wonderful lady and this creation is a GORGEOUS tribute to her - the beautiful pink flowers just pop against the crisp white and the embossed framing accents it all without detracting from the image...and I don't think you could have a better sentiment to honour someone than this. Thanks for sharing your heart in this challenge. Hugs, xx

Wow - that embossed frame is perfect for this lovely creation! The lotus blossoms look stunning, and the sentiment is perfect to honor this special lady. TYFS!

Your card is really beautiful and I hope it touches the heart of your dear Aunt as she grieves her daughter. Such a difficult thing to get through. Thanks for sharing your story and the lovely card.
