Sharon gave us a challenge to "pound" flower petals and use the BG for our cards - I took petals from some of the flowers in my garden and pressed them on watercolor paper, and put them through my Big Shot. The pressure squeezes out the color from the petals and makes very unique designs on the W/C paper. After it dries, you can cut it to use as a layer on a card, and this looks exceptionally well when you are using a quote as your main image, with little or no embellishing.
Note: If you try this, separate the petals and lay them down as flat as possible and place some papertowels under your plate, because when it goes thru the BS, it squeezes the juice out of the blossom and can get a little messy!!
The colors may not be the same as your petals, but it makes for very interesting BGs.
Try it, and join us in the challenge with the keywords, TSC1010. Thanks for looking!
