Tombstone ATC submission for the swap over at Retro Café. The swap has now ended, but if you missed this fun swap, be sure to sign up next year. This is a very popular swap. There were almost 200 Tombstones submitted this year. Here is a link to the Retro Café Tombstone photo album on Facebook if you are interested in seeing all the entries:

Doll: The little skelly art doll is made with shrink plastic and his arms are fully articulated. I used a full size Inspiration Fairy that I purchased at Retro Café as my template. I used the arms of another Retro Café art doll as a template to make the tiny arms for this guy. I used a plastic skull bead for his head and used my rotary tool to cut it in half - ouch! Seed beads were used for his eyes. I also cut the top hat in half to make a flat surface on the back for easier attachment. I added a tiny bat to his hat to complete his look. LOL
Inspiration for this piece comes from several different sources. I took Mary Jane Chadbourne's wonderful online class this past summer - Imaginarium of An Art Doll. Kristin Hubick over at Retro Café has the most wonderful selection of art dolls in her shop. (She now has several versions of mini art dolls like this one in her shop.) These two ladies combined with more inspiration from Sherry Matthew's design of her Tombstone submission - all got my bat brain fired up and this is the outcome. I'm not sure if it's good or bad. LOL
Thank you for your visit today.
Have a fun and Batty Halloween!
