I made another card for today's CC. Autumn is my fav season and today's colors cheered me on to make a few.
For this card I used my MFT leaves die to make a bkgrd stencil. I used post it tape to fasten my homemade stencil down, over my panel. With a sponge, I applied old olive. Next, I applied (pounced) with more mustard and last, pumpkin pie (pounce + twist.) Over the top, in old olive, I stamped a TPC vine stamp to give it texture and more color. With a sponge, I filled in the white space around the leaves with a light sponging of old olive. I also sponged some of the same ink around the edges of the panel. In more mustard, I used the same vine stamp around the edges of the card base. (Note that I thought it was my sub color more mustard but after I started stamping I knew it wasn't--maybe crushed curry?) Cut the PTI frame and Quickutz tag from burlap. Colored the frame with my old olive pad, distressed the edges. Trimmed the tag, stamped "Autumn" in brown timber Stazon, distressed the edges. Adhered the burlap pieces together, then to leaf panel. Used my Tim Holtz ruler to try to place everything properly. Cut MFT sequins from SU gold glitter paper, arranged on card. Used a Quickstik to pick them up and place on glue I had applied to card. Adhered leaf panel to base. Direct pad to paper, in more mustard, distressed edges of card base. Another card I enjoyed making!
Thank you for looking! : )
