This is my card for Bridget's My Hero challenge ~ which you can find HERE.
I made this with a biker friend of DH's in mind. Well, I've known him a long time too. I think he's quite amazing. His younger brother died young from Sudden Adult Death Syndrome - a long time ago now, but that impacts a family forever. He is in a crummy job where he is not well treated, and before that he was in another job where, in the end, he was quite badly treated. I used to get so angry about it!! And he has two autistic children, one quite severe. Because of that he can't easily stay away overnight for work, so drives a high mileage to get home again. And yet with all that, he never complains and always, always has time for other people, and always has an encouraging word for them, and an offer to pray for them. His major "me therapy" is biking - although I have to say you wouldn't see him on a Harley! I've always loved a card Pat made years ago with this Hawg on a toy run (MMTPT173 Road hawg), so I've sent him out with a pink bunny riding pillion. The Harley club here organised a big bike run a couple of Octobers back in aid of Breast Cancer awareness; DH came home with a bright pink fingernail and, since I don't have nail polish remover, I can't remember what I gave him to get it off with, LOL.
I like to have a few guy cards in the mix for HYCCT, something that would be suitable for a woman to give her husband or boyfriend, so I hope this will fit that bill.
Stamped the hawg, masked him, stamped the road, masked it and stamped the bushes. Added the sentiment and then coloured him with pencils. Distressed the edges, added brads and layered it onto a card base sponged with Black Soot distress stain.
You can find the Master Challenge thread with all the HYCCT challenges HERE, and the chat thread is HERE
We do hope you'll join in this fun month of challenges for our 5th annual Hope You Can Cling To card drive, with plenty of prizes for those who participate!

Oh, Sabrina, this is one of those "huge smile" cards - that pink bunny on the back is a touch of sweet comic genius! So cute, yet the sentiment packs a powerful punch because it's what EVERYONE, no matter who they are, wants to hear. Love this - thank you for making a card for this challenge and sharing your heart too.

My DH rides a Harley, Sabrina, so this card really touches me. Love that hog driving a hog, and with the pink bunny in tote, this is an awesome card for the cause! Men get breast cancer too~

Love everything about your card! That biker image makes me smile for sure. Cut bunny in the background. You colored it all so well and I love that you masked and made your own background.
Oh my! I love how you personalized this by adding the pink bunny. Super cute card and fabulous masking! What a great guy. That man is a treasure!!! Sounds like he has had a very difficult journey. Thanks so much for sharing this inspiring story.
