Are you going to play along with the HYCCT Challenges this year? Hope you will join the fun, create some cards for a great cause, meet some friends and have a chance to win some great prizes!
Made this one for Bridget's My Hero challenge. This one is to honor a special stamping friend of mine who passed away last year from esophageal cancer. Lena (Tackertwosome) was funny, upbeat and kind, even while battling cancer she always asked how everyone else was doing. She was my go for canning questions, she canned for years and was very willing to help me out with my canning mishaps! She is greatly missed and a hero in my book for fighting so hard and with so much dignity.

What a beautiful tribute for your beautiful friend, Kathleen! Everything plays together so well with the plaid, the twine, the weathered wood bg and the leafy strip...it's country and homey, just perfect for the canning theme - love it! Thanks for sharing your heart and making a card for this challenge!

What a perfect card in your friend's honor, Kathleen! So sorry for your loss. Hopefully she taught you well and you can be of help to others. I love this pretty autumnal canning jar with the neutral colors behind it! Beautiful~

What a perfect way to honour Lena. Your card is a warm and rich depiction of part of what she was to you: a friend, a help, and an encouragement. Just beautiful.

What a beautiful card, and an even more beautiful tribute to Lena. Love the wood background, the autumn theme, and your always awesome coloring (that jar lid looks so real!). Great job on this challenge!
