This card was made for the Clean & Simple challenge "That Touch of Pink" - CAS 293 (10/6/14).
As you can see, with the exception of the pink cs on the inside, there is very little pink on this card...in fact, there is just a touch of pink! I saw the challenge right after I finished making my own enamel dots using mini acrylic pony beads. They were so dang cute, I wanted a design that would highlight the smooth, shiny texture. I kept color to a minimum on this card and tried to add interest with embossing on most of the details.
The trick to making these, if there is one, is to be sure and put the beads on a piece of parchment paper so you don't have a mess on your cookie sheets to clean up! And do open up your windows and turn on your stove fan, because they are a bit stinky as they cook. In my convection oven, I used a heat setting of 425 degrees and cooked them for about 25 -30 minutes. When I took them out of the oven, I carefully slid the parchment sheet with the dots onto a cool cookie sheet so that they would stop melting. They cooled within a couple of minutes and could be handled without damaging them. One other tip, be sure to spread them out so that there is plenty of room between the beads so that they don't melt together.
These were SO fun to make and I know I will enjoy using them on upcoming projects. The black dots look like they will be perfect for snowman faces. Cant wait to try it!
Thanks for popping by to look at my pink enamel dot - and the rest of the card, too!

This is an adorable CAS design. I love the pink peeking out from the inside and those home-made acrylic beads. Of course, the woodgrain texture is awesome.
