Here is my card for Sabrina's HYCCT challenge - Holding it together.
Holding it together...or falling apart.
When someone gets the diagnosis that they really didnÂ’t want and hears that they have cancer, they can feel that their world is falling apart. Sadly many women who hear this news have families, and they have find that inner core of resilience to hold it together for their families.
My challenge to you is to hold it together without your usual resources. No foam dots, no ATG or other tape, no wet glues or Glossy Accents, no glue gun...
You can use things like brads, eyelets, stitching (machine or hand), staplesÂ…
I stamped image on white cardstock and coloured with copic markers and gold gel pen. Cut out the flowered cardstock. And brown base C/s. Found a scrap of SU designer paper. Cut out brown rectangle to go behind HM image. Assembled card as to how I wanted it to look. And zig zag stitched around HM image. Found the sentiment in my discarded sentiment container and thought it would work with the image. Coloured over sentiment and edges with brown and gold. Attached with gold brad. Added stickles to the flower centers.
The only adhesive used was to attach to white card base
Hugs..Pat

Grins, sewing was certainly a walkover for you to hold this sweet card together, Pat. How comforting, the thought of rosehip tea (without the mouse in it, LOL). I love the way you added Stickles to all the flower centres. Thank you for playing along and Holding It Together so sweetly.
Great layering going on in this precious card. Love the dp you used. Very fall like. Sentiment is perfect for your sweet mouse image.
