This is for Stacy's HYCCT challenge, Show Me You Love Me, which you can find HERE
I used hearts to show my love - and a little posy of flowers. I stamped the hedgehog on watercolour paper and coloured it with distress inks and a dot of Liquid Pearls in the the centre of each flower.
Note - don't draw a pencil outline and then sponge colour over it. I had to start again when I couldn't erase my faint outline!
I cut the heart aperture in my pink square, then embossed and sanded it, and then stamped it with the IO distress stamp in Walnut Stain. The edges are also sponged with Walnut Stain after stitching. I added a little snippet of lace knotted to make a corner across the sentiment. The heart balloon was punched out and sponged with Picked Raspberry, shaped slightly and then covered with Glossy Accents. I added two little sparkly green butterflies to finish it off, since there was a lot of blank space in the left-hand part of the heart aperture.
Some time last year Stacy really liked a PB background stamp I'd used, so I directed her to where she could find it, and she got it and also this hedgie and made a sweet card combining them both. So somehow the next time I was ordering PB stamps, the hedgie came to find a home here too ;-).
You can find the Master Challenge thread with all the HYCCT challenges HERE, and the chat thread is HERE
We do hope you'll join in this fun month of challenges for our 5th annual Hope You Can Cling To card drive, with plenty of prizes for those who participate!

Sabrina this is so cute. I think I have mentioned it before, but I always think of you when I see hedges on cards...I mean that in a nice way. I digress, your card is so perfect for Stacy's fun challenge.

Can't get any cuter than this...look at that hedgie! She's headed right for her true love...or maybe she's on the way home to show off her "love" flowers!! Either way, just adorable, Sabrina!

Sweet, sweet hedgie, and I really like the way you've framed him in a heart, Sabrina - you always come up with creative ways to interpret the challenges!
