My mum asked me to make a card for a neighbour's wedding. I showed her the MIC Geeky couple almost as a joke and she loved how happy they look.
The bride and groom are both coloured with Spectrum Noirs, then a thin glaze of pearlizing medium was painted over the highlights on the bride and a thick spot for her earring.
The house was coloured with Spectrum Noir, then masked and the background inked with distress ink. Then has a second layer of thin cardstock was attached to the back to hide where the alcohol marker has shown through.
To keep everything flat with all the coloured and glued layers, the top layer is glued to 3mm foamcore, then the background was spaced with a border of foamcore. The flowers were inspired by Kittie Caracciolo.
Inside is another image from Make it Crafty, of the couple walking away, hand in hand. The sentiment is, "May your troubles be less and your blessings be more, and nothing but happiness come through your door."
I am yet to find a suitable 'Congratulations' to put on the front.
No, it isn't being posted. LOL. But, I am surprised how light the foam core has worked out. I will definitely use it again.

WOW Kat you've put a lot of attention to detail in your card. The happy couple do look very happy and I admire your skill with your paper flower creation. Well done.
