This card was a quickie to make for this weeks Free For All Challenge - "Au Naturale" 9/26/14. The challenge was to use something natural on the card like burlap, wood, twine, etc.
I opted to use faux wood as the background for my fishing scene because I just happened to have this perfect sized leftover piece of SU Hard Wood backgound and it was begging to be used.
The cute little burlap fishing creel sticker inspired me to choose a similarly shaped die to make the card base. It's hard to see in my photo, but the card front has been debossed with PTI Canvas Impression plate to echo the design on the creel.
The fun Jolee fishing stickers made for a quick assembly. I was lucky to find a sentiment panel in my leftovers that fit perfectly - I thought the blue sponging looked a bit like water, which is what I needed underneath the fishie. I added a touch of Wink of Stella clear glitter brush to the belly of the fish for a bit of sparkle.
Thanks for looking at my Fish on the Line. Have a splendiferuous day!

I just love all the details of this card... The wood grain background. The sponging on the back of the sentiment. The dry embossed background. Perfect!
