This is for Tiffany's fun mixed media challenge - Sign of Fall.
I know it looks like the same card but I thought I would include the "negative".
I started with a sheet of 8.5" x 11.25" cardstock. Spray yellow and orange Dylsuions Ink onto a sheet of aluminium foil, spritz with water. Swish the cardstock around to get it nicely coloured.
Cut the sheet down to make two 4.25" x 8.25" cards. In the spirit of mixed media and also to tone down the brigtness of the dylusions ink, sponge with orange, green and walnut distress inks.
Die cut the IO bird on a branch, randomly stamp around the edges and stamp the reeds. The panel on the right hasn't been attached to a card yet. The bird on the branch was stencilled on (the negative of the original die cut). I used black distress ink and a sponge dauber.
Thank you for looking.

Your card making has taken you into a direction that I am enjoying seeing! Your techniques are as amazing as your results! I'd never think to blend those colors yet the end result is absolutely beautiful. I love your muted colors!

Susie, I'm trying to decide which one I like best, but what a hard task at hand for me! Well, that's since they are both so pretty! Lovely autumn colors and an interesting way to achieve them too~
