I am pleased that I decided to go out of my comfort zone and join the challenges for today. Birgit's Faux Marble had me a tad concerned - so much so that I did not pay attention and stuck my finger in the mixture to stir, yuk!! But alas I think this covers both challenges and I have a friend who loves red, loves sparkle and loves Christmas - this I made with her in mind. I cut the bird from really good glitter paper that does not come off in my hand, cut the branch from tan cardstock and then inked with TH Peeled Paint and added Viva Glitter pen for the berries. The background faux marble I did using reinkers TH Raspberry and StazOn Saddle Brown, and once dried I pounced lightly with the TH Fired Brick ink pad. Added a few sequins for my friend and a black rhinestone for birdie's eye. The backgroud paper is MME Vintage Christmas. Thank you Birgit and Robin for 2 really fun challenges.
