For this week's WTUI challenge from Cathy ~ Stencil It.
And for the current CCEE Stampers challenge from Lois; in honour of "Hug a Greeting Card Writer Day" she asks us to use things to spell the word "HUG".
H ~ heat embossing
U ~ umbrella
G ~ Glossy Accents, gel pen
I stamped the duck and coloured him with pencils. Stamped the sentiment and added some of the colours there too. I used an MFT die to create a stencil to sponge the grass in, and then used two more stencils to create the background. It's edged with white EP and then a scatter of chunky white EP, and then a black marker to add definition. I added Glossy Accents to the boots, Stickles to the water puddles and added some gel pen dots to the umbrella.
Thanks, Lorraine, for the Smash stencil - it was great on this!

Isn't that the cutest little duck you ever saw; awesome coloring and good job on both challenges! (we also call rain boots "galoshes" (hope I spelled that right).

This is such a cute image with that sentiment, and you made it come alive with all the different stenciling. You sure know how to make some outstanding backgrounds. Love how you did your grass stencil. tfs
