THIS right here, is a card made under pressure. We have been in the process of fixing our house up to sell it (much to my sadness) because we are planning on buying a house with my mom, and one she can navigate better in. Our house is a 100 year old house with a front porch, the high ceilings, oak trim, very old fashioned and full of charm and character. This past weekend, while my turn to be hostess, I had very little time to come up with my card and color scheme. I stayed up very late one night coming up with this card, and I wasn't all that thrilled with it but it was really really late, and I decided okay, this is it, I had it down to 3 different cards as possibilities and I decided in the interest of TIME I had to stop stamping and get working on the house again. So this card is far from my favorite ever, but it is what it is, and that's it. The work on the house got done, and we just got finished sitting down with the realtor and listing it, and I feel very melancholy. I need to remind myself that if we move I will love another place as well. I know I will, but when we walk into something new, it's almost always accompanied by leaving something old behind. Bittersweet. Who knows? Maybe it won't sell? God is in control and I rest in that. Sorry for the blab. Just a night of mixed emotions. Happy Tuesday everyone!

Karen, I know this isn't your normal gorgeous flowers colored with Blendabilities, but I love, love, LOVE this card. Your fussy cutting and creation of snow banks presents a lovely 3-D scene, and the coloring of the children is so sweet. The stars set it all off so nicely. The best of luck to you in your home selling and buying. I know you will find a home that you love, and you will be blessed for taking such good care of your mother.

I don't know what you expecting from yourself, but if this is what I came up with under pressure, I would be very happy! I love this bear and how you have colored him. The glimmer paper for the sky and the snow is perfect for a starlight evening!
Sorry you have to sell your house. It sounds lovely! We just sold ours - We wanted to move but when it came right down to selling I was sad after 20 years that it was no longer my house. But like you said, you will love another home as well. We have to build one before I can love another one. For now I'm trying to even like the one we are renting while we build. It had a few problems. Bless you for doing what you need to though to help your mother. Hugs

I knew you would use this stamp!! The first time I saw it in the catty, I immediately thought of you. I am kicking myself that I didn't order it. I love your fun sparkling card and it has me shivering already!

Karen, beautiful use of today's colors. I think this is such a touching image and you have done it great justice. I am smiling as there is not a single flower on this card, so no wonder you are doubting yourself. You have stepped outside of the box with great success. Love this sparkllng winter scene. All the best with your move and the changes in your life.

I like to hear your blab Karen - it's you sharing your sweet self. I like your card too!! It's so cute with the kids riding the big polar bear. I love the sparkling sky and frosty snow. It's a beautiful winter scene. I will keep your family in my prayers. Hugs!

We live in the house you just described, and moved my mother in four years ago, along with a stair lift. Because we have a full bath downstairs as well as up, it all works well for her and us. Since the house hasn't been sold yet, might that work for you??
Your card is sweet. Stop worrying.
