Happy Monday. I made this card for today's techinique challenge - tape it off and make a one layer card. I placed a piece of washi tape at the bottom of my 5x5 vellum card. Stamped on the Pleasant Poppies backgrounder stamp using memento black ink. Removed the tape. Stamped on the sentiment - I used my stamp a ma jig to get the proper placement. Coloured the poppies with copic markers. Next I placed the wash tape back over the sentiment. Inked up my sanded backgrounder stamp with soft sky ink and stamped over top of the poppies - my stamp wasn't cleaned from the last time I used it - so the colour came out gray. Sponged soft sky and blue bayou around the outer edges of the card. I used a ruler and black copic marker to make the black frame . Next I sewed around the card with a wandering stitch. Glued on the butterflies and the gold rhinestones. Added black rhinestones to four poppies.
This works for this months fan club theme - If you leave me (my technique was masking)
Thanks for looking = hugs.. Pat

This is so pretty on the vellum. You've colored the poppies so pretty.

This is amazing. Your poppies are beautiful, and I love how you gave the card a look of multi layers with your stitching and black border. So clever :-)
