This is my card for the Teapot Party this week. We were challenged to bring bright, happy cards in an effort to cheer Connie - one of our own and sister to Curt's mom, Mutnik. She's had a very tough time lately, and needs 42,000 smiles!
My card isn't funny, but it's super bright and sparkly! the balloons are an outline sticker from ELizabeth Craft Designs. This link takes you to a video tutorial about this technique:
I stamped the word "Sending" with Versafine Onyx Black and heat embossed with clear ep. I cut several clouds from this weird, really cool paper thin white plastic that I had adhered to lightweight cardstock. The plastic is almost shimmery but not really. I rescued it from the trash bin somewhere, I'm sure!
After adhering the clouds, I added the "hugs", which was also given the glitter treatment and layered once for dimension. The balloons were fussy cut and popped on foam tape.I arranged the strings and added a bit of adhesive to the ends to be sure they stayed in place.
As usual with glitter, the picture really doesn't do justice to the balloons. I love the way they turned out and hope Connie does, too!
As always, thanks for looking!

Wow Jody this is terrific, thanks so much for the link and also for your detailed description. Can you imagine how colourful Connie's mantle piece will look.

Tripple wow, Jody. This card is sooo cute and bright. The way you arranged the strings is fantastic and the die cut words are perfect. Great choice of colors. Right into my favs.
