For this week's WTUI challenge from Michelle ~ Make It Monumental
And, always short of time, I've combined it with Lois' challenge to the CCEE Stampers to use an odd number of the same embellishment on our cards. 1 is odd, yes?
I used Dina's Sanded Pencil Background on watercolour paper to create my background - I thought the gritty texture it gives would work for Michelle's challenge. I used grey, brown and silver pencils. Then I stamped the SA sentiments and the Flourishes vine. I embossed it with the TH brick wall ef, and coloured the vine with distress inks. I added one punched butterfly and one black half-pearl.

ONE definitely is an odd number, Sabrina. LOL! A beautiful card. And I'm going to have to try that sanded pencil background. Looks marvelous on your card.

The way you added your flowers to enhance your sentiment is sheer perfection, Sabrina! Your bg turned out lovely and reminds me of misting, a very gentle type rain. It's the kind I don't mind walking in, and when our dgs's were visiting, we did just that one evening. Your sponging draws the eye inward-good thought~

Love this one layered card and all the beautiful stamping done on it. The sponging is masterfully done.

Wow, Sabrina...another addition to my favs. This is just gorgeous. I can't wait to try this technique. It looks like a stone plaque. The sentiment is perfect and your colors are beautiful. It would be such a pretty piece of art to hang on the wall. Just stunning.
