This is my card for the TLC498 challenge "WRAP IT AROUND" - to take a wood block, or other sturdy material (heavy cardboard box, glass, spool, etc.), wrap a textured material around it and use it as a stamp.
I technically cheated a little because I didn't wrap, but stapled top and bottom. Oh, wait, that's creative license, right? What I actually did was cut four long strips of thin plastic shopping bag, twist tightly, and staple lengthwise around the cardboard middle from a paper towel roll. I rubbed my ink pads down the plastic and rolled across the paper - top to bottom, side to side, and on a diagonal.
I found the long forgotten flowers in my stash and thought the curves and shiny sparkle looked kinda cool against the matte background. I die cut "fabulous" in red and gave it two coats of red ep for shine and dimension.
As always, thanks for looking!

Wow! If that were a background stamp I'd already be hunting for it! I love the effects and it did not overwhelm those awesome flowers! The red sentiment is perfect! I may just have to try this one and thanks again for describing your imaginative techniques!
