I keep thinking of ODBD on Sundays. so wanted to catch this fun challenge , with the neat sketch. Just made it by minutes, they always take longer then I anticipate and my son wanted to make some chocolate chip cookies to bring to friends so yummmm cant say no to that...:0)
I really like this bamboo border, so thought I would try and Christmas it up. I colored it with normal markers and a water pen, so neat I found out that normal crayola markers can blend with a water pen...yah. then I cut a heart out of paper and used the hole to sponge a nice yellow warm center heart and then used the heartshape, held that over the heart and sponged the rest with pumpkin, orange and real red, and stamped the sentiment over that. Almost covered the heart so hoping you can see it as it worked neat with the sentiment. just found some warm scraps of papers and made black borders and flags, thought I would keep that simple, want the sentiment to be the focus. Hope it's not too dark for a Christmas card...thanks for the visit..:0)

Oh, Wendy, this is amazing! I agree with Jan that I would never have thought about using the bamboo frame. And the colors are amazing! It seems like there is light behind the sentiment like a candle! What a stunning Christmas card and a wonderful take on the ODBD Shining the Light challenge! I love it!! Hugs, sweet friend!
