Went through a similar process to make my leaves using gelatos, alcohol and mustard craft ink for the color. Stamped then crumpled and added copper highlights. Tied this over an embossed strip and popped with dimensionals. Lots of grunging on the bg. My sentiment was an attempt to use the marker to stamp, not a good idea by the way, spritzed with alcohol to try to get the marker to transfer. Added some copper dots under my sentiment.

Fabulous autumn card, Gail. Love how you did your leaf....so realistic...and in truth so many are just brown and not vividly colored. : ) Pretty color combo and soft bg interest.

Another great leaf - and I think that even if the attempt to stamp the sentiment was unsuccessful in fulfilling your original intent, you redeemed it wonderfully to create a great grunge masculine background.

Very grungy and very cool. I like how you stamped the sentiment over and over. PS. For my white border I just scored the cardstock and then sanded it! It's white on one side so that's super quick and easy.
