Finally! Here is my card for the MMTPT317 challenge "Gettin' Ready for the Harvest Dance" - bring some lace, gingham, buttons, polka-dots, ribbons, or even help baking, to get Daisy-May and Dixie all ready for their first "Harvest Dance" as "Proper ladies."
Now, my mama always told me the way to a man's heart is through his stomach, so the girls and I hit the kitchen for some serious baking, and turned out some scrumptious goodies. They may not have fancy store-bought dresses like that hussy Scarlett down the way, but everybody knows she can't cook any better than my grandma's donkey, so I'm thinkin' they're gonna hit the attention jackpot at the dance!
My mojo has been seriously missing lately, but overall I'm basically pleased with how this turned out, and I hope the teapotter I tickle likes it, as well.
As always, thanks for looking!

I love your gingham and the way you did your corners. Your baked goodies are the perfect addition to be framed so nicely. What a "sweet" card. no pun intended. I love your story and your card is perfect for this weeks teaparty. Who wouldn't love to get all these baked goods.

Tripple "wow", Jody. You may think your mojo is missing, but I see it all over this card. The sparkles on the cupcake and the hearts over the pie are such great design elements. Using the sort of reverse scallops in the corners looks great. Right into my favs.

That is one tasty look spread you brought -- and I'm glad to see more food at the table, because I knew my apple pies weren't going to be enough for everyone.
There are some wonderful design elements on this card -- especially those black corner pieces and the glittery cupcake.

This made me laugh. DH always says there's no "cupboard love" in our marriage but I'm not so sure. But since he's always very appreciative and never fails to thank me for cooking I can live with it.
I love the way you've combined the scalloped edging and gingham, that is very effective indeed. You've cooked up a sweet treat here, for sure.

I love your description of the girls and Scarlett! Thanks for the much needed laugh today! As to all the baked goods, oh I can feel the pounds adding up right now, but what a wonderful home cooked delight!
