I recently bought some white canvas blocks/boards at Jo Ann Stores or Hobby Lobby. I'm sure both must have them. I've been wanting to paint something on them. So, I painted the white canvas with Tim Holtz Distress Paint in broken china. Next, I die cut several tall pines and made a snowman with the largest punch circle being 5/8" and then used the SU owl punch for the other two body circles. I used a Copic for the eyes and teeth. Then cut out a tiny nose with scissors. The snow is a piece of white cardstock, sponged.
I thought these canvas blocks would be really cute for my little grandkids to set in their windows or wherever for Christmas.
Today, the mix83 challenge is Naturally Elements, to choose a color element from fire, water earth, or air. Mine is AIR=Blue, white, gray (I do have green in there, though..hope it is o.k.) I have gray on my snowman and, of course, you see the blue and white. My broken china is really blue and not the green it may look on here.
EDIT: I must edit this card. The reason my canvas looked green is because it is. When I typed my post, I was thinking I had used Tim Holtz broken china Distress Paints but, for some reason, last night it popped into my mind, I had covered the canvas with Viva Stamp Paint in lime green metallic. Duh! What was I thinking? So, I guess this belongs in water (aqua, turquoise, gray, silver), not air, for the Mix challenge. Well, it looks kind of turquoise. Maybe I should have just stayed out of the mix challenge this time. Ha

What a sweet little canvas with your fun patterned trees and this sweet snowman looking skyward! This will look so cute sitting on my grandchildren's window sill! Beautiful work, Brenda!

Darling, Benzi and your GKs will be thrilled with their own Christmas decoration. I like your "Picasso" take on perspective...some looking straight on and some looking from above(the snowman)...much like a child perceives the universe in their drawings with changed views.
